Produce initial design proposals for the 2012 Graduate Yearbook that communicates the diverse, creative and professional quality of the work produced on the BA(hons) Graphic design programme.
Considerations
- What do you want to say about the course, your time on it and the people you have met?
- what do the rest of the year group, staff etc want to say?
- what makes thid course/year unique and how do you communicate this through the selection, organisation and communication of content?
- what is the underlying visual concept and why is it appropriate, innovative and current?
- The message is what?
- Who will want to know and how will they find out?
I m working in a group of four. We decided that we think a yearbook should be fun and something you look back on and think of great memories. We thought of our time from 1st year to now, listing loads of memories, good and bad. We realised how emotional it has been and have decided to focus on a emotions.
We came up with "We came, we created, we conquered".
Front cover- a photograph of a student holding a white board with writing on that said our frase.
Throughout the book there would be boards with quote's about uni life.
Middle page- a double page spread of all out faced pulling different emotions.
Back cover- A photograph of the back of a student to match the front cover.
We all had an attempt at creating the front cover that we would pitch.
This was my interoperate of what I thought it should look like.
