t-shirt designs

Placing owls on t-shirt

I think the size works well here, maybe a bit smaller and more to the right.

Think this is too small

I have seen a lot of t-shirt that have an image in a square

was trying to see how it would look if it filled the t-shirt so that you couldn't see what it was anymore. This might be a bit to much for a t-shirt design.

incense holders

Thinking about how the incense would fit into the coconut. This is going to be a problem as, I have tried drilling a whole in to the top of a coconut and after a while the coconut moulds. so I will have to just make it appear there is a whole. I was thinking about using a cork or a lid for the top.

Making coconuts

I wanted to keep a colour running throughout my work. I decided to use gold with 3 colours.
I started by sanding down the coconuts and painting them black.
I then drew different patterns on each one for variation.

I want to create packaging that would be in the same pattern as the coconuts. I think to make the packaging similar to the coconuts each package will have the same pattern as the coconut itself.
I could have different sized sets which would determine price and what you get in the package.

1. coconut by itself- you would have to buy your own incense.
2. coconut and a packet of incense and oil.
3 coconut and burning incense and tray.

Coconut product name

Ideas...I am going to try an keep the word "coco" in the name if it is posible and I want something to join "coco" with a word to do with smell/fragrance to match the incense

  • coco-cent
  • coco-tang
  • coco-aroma
  •  coco-fume
  • aroma-coco
  • aroma-nut
  • cocologne
  • coco nuafera (latin name)
  • coco spirit ( used as a spiritual atmosphere)

I am leaning towards useing "cocoaroma" as I think it flows best when spoken.

Coconut ideas

5 ideas I need to choose from

1. package where you get coconut as an ornament when you buy shampoos and coconut products
2. container, coconut is the packaging, and you open it to get lip barms or something inside.
3. table displays that promote coconut products
4. incent holder with incents.
5. Easter alternative

After a crit, people thought it would be better if the coconut could be used as something as it would make you want it more and has more of a purpose than an ornament.

I have chosen incent holders, the incents would go in the top of the coconut and would be decorated so it is useful and something to look at.

Into the woods

Here I have chosen a male outfit from the Alexander McQueens collection and thought I would make it in to a dear.

Darker image

In to the woods

This is my 1st design for alexander McQueen. As the collection is called into the wood I wanted to create different models to show part of the wood, this model is about the birds you find in the woods.

Vogue designer 1- Alexander McQueen

Sarah Burton can’t do things by halves. Just when London expects her to put on a routine, serviceable presentation for the McQ Alexander McQueen collection, as a mere teaser for the opening of its Dover Street store in the spring, she goes mega with a whole runway show and a theatrical performance. Maybe she didn’t want to let London down, or the name of Alexander McQueen in the city he was born. But whatever her motivations were, Burton treated the McQ audience to the full runway experience—a space covered in dried leaves, and a dramatic ending that had Kristen McMenamy wandering into a faux winter-wood to a lonely hut, which then blasted into life with music and flashing lights.

This will be my 1st collection to illustrate, it is all about romantic autumn/winter, I will be drawing the models clothes in roots and dead leaves and woodland animals as the title given to this collection is called "IN TO THE WOODS. I am quite excited to so this as I love drawing nature, it will defiantly be in colour in my magazine.

Practice drawings

I wanted to practice drawing people before I started on my own Vogue, I haven't really ever done fashion illustrations. After looking at the range of fashion illustration out in todays magazines I feel that fashion illustration can be in any media and doesn't necessary have to look identical to clothing especially when it is editorial.
I have started my drawing from images and adding and changing the way I see the image.

Here I altered the dress and hair to resemble a sea creatures

Here I was thinking about pattern and created my own pattern over a girls face

Simple lines, making the model look evil

This was a photo that I copied and then added pattern to the dress, This was already altered photography, I dont think I will be doing this sort of style in my vogue.

Just a face, doesnt show off clothes

adding a colour to black and white

I dont think this works at all, but have shown it to say what I wont be doing. If I add colour I will only be adding it using pens or other materials, I will not be altering the colours on photoshop.

What I do need to decided is if my magazine is going to have colour? some pages could, but would it make it not flow. I would have to keep it in context with the designers.

Vogue

So far, I have been looking at designers in Vogue and been trying to pick who I would like to go in my own vogue.

My idea is that I will have around 10 designers. Each designer I have been looking at has had inspiration from somewhere to help them create their collection eg Sicily, Jellyfish.

In my version of Vogue, it will be laid out just like a normal one and have page numbers to each designer on a content page.
My aim is to make my illustrations exaggerate their "inspirations" meaning I will be drawing in different styles for different designers. I am planning on making each designer have 2 double page spreds. I will then need a front a back cover.
I need to make sure I have enough information in the magazine by using text. I want the text to talk about the designers and why they have made their collection.

Vogue

The illustration will be made in to a magazine where each designer will have two double page spreads. There will be a section at the front explaining how this is an illustrated magazine, made to exaggerate their inspiration for their collection.

Logo and design

I think this could be too busy for a logo, especially if it was small, it would loose all the detail. I think it is a possible for a t-shirt design.
